Regency Steel Buildings sourced this prefabricated steel self-storage building for a customer in Dubuque, Iowa, in May of 2019.
Rugged, long-lasting and insulated to maximize energy efficiency, the mini storage building stands 40’x80’x12’ in size and now undergoes use as a self-storage facility. A rugged, hardwearing roof comprised of Galvalume panels sits overhead, offering a 0.5:12 roof pitch, and distributed throughout (16) storage units are (16) 9’x10’ framed openings, each enclosing one of (16) 9’x10’ mini storage doors.
In the roof of the building is R-10 insulation, which substantially enhances the business’s energy efficiency, and it also helps stored materials maintain consistent temperatures, regardless of time of year. A 30-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind load serve as supplemental customizations that allow the metal mini storage building to comply with local building codes.
Situated at the junction of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin in a region known as the Tri-State area, the city of Dubuque is a part of eastern Iowa’s Dubuque County. The community sits about 72 miles northeast of Cedar Rapids and about 35 miles outside Monticello.
