Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pre-engineered metal mini storage building for a customer in Wellington, Kansas, in May of 2015.
The durable, low maintenance mini storage building stands 40’x80’x9.5’ in size, and overhead is a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with an upgraded 3:12 pitch. Inside the building are (12) rentable storage units varying in size, among them (4) 10’x20’ units, (4) 10’x10’ units and (4) 10’x30’ units with 9’x8’ openings. Additional mini storage building features include colored walls, (16) Janus Model 650 doors with slide-lock hardware, 26-gauge walls and roof with 29-gauge partitions, Kansas engineer-stamped building plans and gutters and downspouts to help disperse water away from the building.
To minimize enhance climate control, 2 ¾” fiberglass insulation with accompanying white facing is installed in the roof. In consideration of the humid-subtropical climate of the Wellington area, the building also boasts a wind speed of 90 mph C, a ground snow load of 43 lbs. and a roof snow load of 30.1 lbs.
This building was freighted directly to the Wellington, Kansas, jobsite. Located within south-central Kansas’ Sumner County, the city of Wellington is located about 36 miles from Arkansas City and about 35 miles outside Wichita.
