Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pre-engineered steel mini storage building on behalf of a customer in Elkton, Virginia, in early August of 2019.
Attractive on the outside and highly functional on the inside, the building is comprised of rugged, high-end steel components, and it now operates as a self-storage facility. Offering unmatched durability and protection for stored items, the building stands 30’x140’x8.5’ in size, and it features a Light Stone exterior and a complementing Hunter Green roof with a 0.5:12 pitch overhead.
It features (28) rentable storage units throughout, which the building owner rents out after collecting monthly fees, and each of those units features one of (28) 8’x7’ framed openings enclosing one of (28) 8’x7’ mini storage doors. A 43-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating serve as additional self-storage facility customizations made in adherence to local building codes and out of consideration for the Elkton area’s typical weather and climate patterns.
Part of the Harrisonburg Metropolitan Statistical Area, the town of Elkton is a part of northern Virginia’s Rockingham County. The community lies along the south fork of the Shenandoah River, about 38 miles north of Charlottesville and about 73 miles west of Fredericksburg.
