Regency Steel Buildings supplied this prefabricated metal mini storage building for a customer in Damariscotta, Maine, in early August of 2015.
The rugged and durable steel mini storage building stands 25’x70’x8.5’ in size and is covered overhead by a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant roof with a 0.5:12 pitch. Inside the building house (14) rentable storage units, all of which are 10’x10’ in size with 9’x7’ framed openings. Installed in those openings are (14) 9’x7’ Janus Model 650 mini storage doors with stainless steel latches. Also included in this mini storage project are Maine engineer-stamped drawings, wedge anchors and fasteners, 29-gauge partition panels with Galvalume metal finishes and gutters and downspouts, which effectively divert water away from the roof and the foundation of the building. A roof vapor barrier is also included to prevent the formation of condensation.
In consideration of the typical climate of Damariscotta and the surrounding region, the mini storage building features a wind speed of 97 mph C, a ground snow load of 50 lbs. and a roof snow load of 35 lbs. A part of eastern Maine’s Lincoln County, the town of Damariscotta is situated about 21.9 miles outside Washington and about 8.2 miles from Wiscasset.
