Regency Steel Buildings supplied these (3) prefabricated steel mini storage buildings in Mobile, Alabama, in December of 2021.
Offering a total of (120) rentable storage units, the (3) buildings are comprised of rugged, sustainable steel parts and together function as a self-storage facility. The first (2) Regency Steel mini storage buildings are equal in size and stand 20’x200’x8.5’, while the third and largest mini storage building is 30’x200’x8.5’ when raised.
Overhead, all (3) self-storage buildings have hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roofs with 0.5:12 pitches providing protection from the elements, and inside the first and second buildings are (80) 10’x10’ storage units, each with its own 9’x7’ framed door opening. The third steel mini storage building contains (40) 10’x20 storage units available for rent, and each has one of (40) 9’x7’ framed door openings.
Each of the storage unit door openings encloses one of (120) 9’x7’ painted Model 750 mini storage doors with stainless-steel latches. The buildings also have heavy-duty 29-gauge partition panels with Galvalume finishes separating the storage units and gutters and downspouts along their roofs, which help protect against condensation.
A high, 155-mph wind load is an additional customization made in consideration of the building codes and climate characteristics of the Mobile area. Located along Alabama’s Gulf Coast, the city of Mobile is part of Mobile County. It sits about 168 miles southwest of Montgomery, Alabama, and about 58 miles outside Pensacola, Florida.
