Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pre-engineered metal self-storage building in Remlap, Alabama, in February, 2022.

Fabricated by Regency Steel Buildings, the building now operates as a self-storage business, generating a regular stream of revenue for the owner. Low-maintenance and easy to raise, it is 40’x100’x10.333’/12’ and has a durable Galvalume single-slope roof with a 0.5:12 pitch providing coverage overhead.

Inside the metal self-storage building are (10) 10’x40’ storage units available for rent, and they have heavy-duty 29-gauge partition panels with Galvalume finishes separating them. Each storage unit also has one of (10) 9’x10’ framed door openings holding (10) 9’x10’ Janus Model 650 mini storage doors. All doors feature high-glass White paint and high-quality stainless steel latch hardware.

The steel mini storage building also has 2.5” of WMP-VRR-faced insulation in its roof and walls, keeping stored goods at consistent temperatures. The full building has insulation with the exception of the high side wall. Additional customizations include gutters, downspouts, a 10-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating.

Located in north-central Alabama, Remlap is part of Blount County. The community lies about 25 miles northeast of Birmingham and about 15 miles from Springville.
