Regency Steel Buildings supplied these (3) mini storage buildings in Akron, Ohio, in June of 2022.
Featuring attractive, Desert Sand-colored exteriors with combinations of Desert Sand and Fern Green trim, the (3) Regency Steel Buildings mini storage buildings offer optimal strength and durability and currently serve as an addition to an existing self-storage business. All (3) structures differ in size, with the first building, Building A, standing 40’x100’x13.333’/15’, Building B standing 20’x80’x7.667’/8.5’, and Building C standing 20’x90’x7.667’/8.5’.
Overhead, all (3) metal mini storage buildings sport hardwearing single-slope Galvalume roofs with modest 0.5:12 pitches, and the roofs of the second and third buildings have DripX condensation control pre-applied, helping the interiors remain watertight. Inside Building A are (5) 20’x40’ storage units with 12’x12’ door openings, while Building B contains (8) 10’x20’ units with 9’x7’ framed door openings. Building C, meanwhile, contains (9) 10’x20’ units with 9’x7’ framed door openings.
Each storage unit has its own point of access. In total, the self-storage facility has (5) 12’x12’ openings enclosing (5) 12’x12’ insulated sectional overhead doors with trolley openers, (17) 9’x7’ openings enclosing (17) Fern Green Model 650 mini storage doors with stainless-steel latch hardware, and (5) 3070 openings enclosing (5) painted 3070 walk doors with White or Bronze lever locks.
Additional upgrades and customizations include heavy-duty partition panels with Galvalume finishes, which separate the storage units inside the buildings, and gutters and downspouts along the roofs of all (3) buildings, which help control condensation by moving rain or snow away from the buildings’ roofs and foundations.
Building A also features an insulation package and has a combination of 4” and 6” WMP-VRR-faced insulation lining its roof and walls. All (3) steel mini-storage buildings in the complex also have 115-mph wind loads and 20-PSF snow loads in line with local building codes.
Ohio’s fifth-largest city, Akron is part of Summit County. The city sits just north of Cuyahoga Falls and about 40 miles south of Downtown Cleveland.
