Supplied in September 2022 by Regency Steel Buildings for a client in Saraland, Alabama, these (2) metal buildings are now part of a self-storage business.
Insulated and highly customized, the buildings serve a wide variety of storage needs and help fill a need for more self-storage space in Mobile County and southwest Alabama. Each building has a hardy Galvalume roof with a 0.5:12 pitch, and both roofs have gutters and downspouts that help prevent water damage.
Building size and storage unit details are as follows.
Building A is 130’x250’x9.5’ and has the following storage unit mix inside.
• (100) 10’x10’ units
• (41) 10’x15’ units
• (42) 10’x20’ units
Building B is 45’x140’x8.5’/9’5’ and has the following storage unit mix inside.
• (26) 10’x10’ units
• (13) 10’x15’ units
Each storage unit has its own 8’x7’ Royal Blue Model 650 mini storage door with a stainless-steel latch, and both mini storage buildings feature 5’ painted hallways and 29-gauge steel partitions that divide the interiors into separate storage units. The walls of both buildings hold 6” of WMP-VRR-faced insulation, helping keep stored items at consistent temperatures. A high, 150-mph wind rating is another customization made in consideration of local building codes and the strong winds that often come through the region.
Part of Mobile County and the Mobile metro area, Saraland sits about 55 miles south of Jackson. Neighboring communities include Prichard, Chickasaw, Mobile, Satsuma and Creola.
