Regency Steel Buildings manufactured and delivered these (2) pre-engineered metal building kits to a business owner in Hill City, South Dakota, in August 2022.
Together, the (2) mini storage buildings and the (50) storage units distributed between them expand self-storage opportunities for area residents and business owners, giving them a safe, dry space to store goods they lack room for at home or at work. The first mini storage building is 30’x175’x8.5’, while the second one stands 30’x155’x8.5’.
Overhead, each self-storage building has a Galvalume steel gable roof with a 0.5:12 pitch, and all roof panels have DripX condensation control pre-applied, helping preserve the integrity of the buildings. Each storage unit also has its own 9’x7’ Model 650 mini storage door with a stainless-steel latch, and each building has 29-gauge partitions inside that divide their interior space into separate rentable units.
Engineered to meet or beat the building codes in place in the region, the mini storage buildings each feature a 111-mph wind rating and a roof snow load of 16.8 psf. Situated in west-central South Dakota, Hill City is part of Pennington County. The community sits about 25 miles southwest of Rapid City and about a 42-mile drive from Deadwood.
