Mini Storage Outlet sent the kit for this prefabricated metal mini storage building to Tijeras, New Mexico, in August 2024, and it now houses a profitable self-storage business.
Designed for customers with traditional storage needs, the durable, secure mini storage building has 13 spacious units inside that generate a steady stream of rental revenue for the building owner. Each storage unit offers private access through a mini storage roll-up door with a stainless-steel latch, and rugged, 29-gauge partition panels with a Galvalume finish separate the interior into separate storage units.
The mini storage building has several customizations that keep everything inside dry and protected from the elements, among them gutters and downspouts along the roof and a DripX moisture barrier pre-applied to the roof panels. The building is 20’x200’x12.5’/12.8333’ and has a single-slope roof with a 0.5:12 pitch. Inside, it has storage units available for rent in the following sizes:
- (6) 10’x20’ storage units with 9’x10’ mini storage doors
- (7) 20’x20’ storage units with 10’x10’ mini storage doors
Designed to maximize durability and meet or exceed local building codes, the steel self-storage building also has a 115-mph wind speed rating and a 42-psf roof snow load.
Part of the Albuquerque metropolitan area in central New Mexico, the village of Tijeras sits about 16 miles east of Albuquerque and a roughly 75-mile drive from Santa Fe.
