Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pair of prefabricated mini storage buildings for a customer in Aubrey, Texas in late July of 2020.
Offering unmatched strength and durability, these attractive and energy-efficient Regency Storage Systems steel mini storage buildings together create a self-storage facility. Comprised of rugged, quality steel parts, the first metal mini storage building is 75’x150’x10′, while the second mini storage building stands 20’x300’x10’/11.667′ in size.
Both self-storage buildings have heavy-duty steel roofs overhead offering protection from the elements, with the first building’s roof boasting a 2:12 roof pitch and a gable design, and the second, a 1:12 pitch and a single-slope design. Throughout the self-storage center are (120) rentable storage units, (90) of which are 10’x10′ and (30) of which are 10’x15′. All self-storage units feature one of (120) 8’x8′ framed openings housing one of (120) 8’x8′ Model 650 mini storage doors. The self-storage complex also features (8) 4070 framed openings enclosing (8) white 4070 walk doors with glass windows on them.
An insulation package helps the mini storage buildings maintain comfortable temperatures that are appropriate for storing goods. In the roofs of the building are layers of R-30 insulation, while the walls contain R-19 insulation.
Other notable customizations include gutters and downspouts, which prevent water from collecting in areas where it could cause damage, and several accommodations that keep the mini storage buildings compliant with local building codes. Such accommodations include a 115-mph wind speed rating and a 7-pound roof snow load.
