Mini Storage Outlet supplied these (5) pre-engineered steel mini storage buildings for a customer in Chinook, Montana, in October of 2013.
Adapted and converted by Regency Steel Buildings, Inc., for mini storage use, the (5) steel buildings offer superior structural integrity, resulting in reliable protection for assets stored inside them. Durable and easy to maintain, they together function as a self-storage business that generates a regular revenue stream for the business owner.
Mini Storage Complex Features & Customizations
All (5) buildings feature high-quality steel construction, and each is a different size. Building A is 10’x103’x9’ in size, while Building B stands 10’x90’x9’ once erect. Building C is 13’x90’x9’, while Building D is 12’x40’x9’ and Building E, 12’x38’x9’. Overhead, each Regency Storage Systems mini storage building has a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof protecting the interior from the elements, and separating each rentable storage unit is a robust, 29-gauge partition panel.
In total, the self-storage facility offers (47) rentable storage units, and each has one of (47) Janus Model 650 mini storage doors allowing renters access inside. Regency Steel also engineered all (5) buildings to comply with the building and engineering code regulations currently in place in Chinook.
A Recession-Resistant Revenue Stream
The self-storage industry tends to thrive even during economic downturns, because many of the factors that lead consumers to rent storage spaces, such as divorce, high home prices or downsizing, occur regardless of the state of the economy. Many people also move during recessions, and moves are among the biggest demand drivers for self-storage.
Many who wish to open self-storage business find that converting existing steel buildings for self-storage use allows them to save a good deal of time and money. Purchasing an existing metal building may help avoid issues related to zoning. It may also prove faster than constructing an entirely new mini storage building from the ground up.
