Mini Storage Buildings Supplied in Crescent City, California

Regency Steel Buildings delivered these (3) prefabricated metal mini storage buildings for a customer in Crescent City, California, in December of 2021.

Desert Sand in color and fabricated by Regency Steel Buildings, Inc., the first two buildings, Buildings A and B, are equal in size, standing 25’x150’x8.5’ when raised. The third building, Building C, is 40’x150’x10’. Overhead, all (3) mini storage buildings feature Smoke-colored steel gable roofs with 0.5:12 pitches.

Distributed among the (3) buildings are (72) rentable storage units. Buildings A and B together contain (20) 5’x10’ storage units with 4’x7’ framed door openings, (26) 10’x10’ units with 9’x7’ framed openings and (26) 10’x15’ storage units with 9’x7’ framed door openings.

Building C houses (8) 5’x10’ storage units with 4’x7’ door openings, (7) 10’x10’ units with 9’x8’ framed openings, (14) 10’x20’ units with 9’x8’ framed door openings and (7) 10’x30’ storage units with 9’x8’ framed door openings. Each storage unit needs its own point of access, and in total, the self-storage facility contains (28) 4’x7’ mini storage doors, (52) 9’x7’ mini storage doors and (28) 9’x7’ mini storage doors. All mini storage doors are Light Stone in color and feature durable stainless-steel latch hardware.

Other self-storage facility customizations include 29-gauge partitions, which separate the storage units, and gutters, downspouts and DripX condensation control along the roof, which help prevent condensation from forming and threatening the structural integrity of the buildings. The buildings also have 2.5” WMP-VRR-faced vapor barriers in their roofs.

A 21-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind load are additional features included with regard for the building codes and climate characteristics of the area. Located in northwestern California’s Del Norte County, Crescent City sits about 84 miles north of Eureka and about 77 miles north of Arcata.
