Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pair of pre-engineered mini storage buildings in Flint, Michigan in March of 2021.
Engineered by Regency Storage Systems, the (2) identical buildings offer unmatched strength and durability and now function as a self-storage business. When raised, the metal mini storage buildings are 40’x100’x9.5’, and overhead, each sports a heavy-duty Galvalume gable roof that resists corrosion and has a slight 0.5:12 pitch.
Distributed between the (2) mini storage buildings are (60) rentable storage units in several different sizes. There are (16) 6’x5’ units with (16) 4’x8’ framed openings, (8) 10’x5’ storage units with (8) 4’x8’ framed openings, and (36) 10’x20’ storage units featuring (36) 9’x8’ framed openings. Each framed opening encloses a private door, and in total, the self-storage facility contains (16) 4’x8’ Model 650 mini storage doors with stainless-steel latches, (8) 6’x8’ Model 650 mini storage doors with stainless-steel latches and (36) 9’x8’ Model 650 mini storage doors with stainless-steel latches.
Additional customizations include 6’ base and eave steps, 29-gauge partition panels with Galvalume finishes dividing each storage unit, and several enhancements that help prevent condensation and water damage, including gutters, downspouts and DripX condensation control applied to the buildings’ roofs. Each steel mini storage building also features a 115-mph wind speed rating in adherence to local building codes.
The largest city in Genesee County, Flint is the principal city in the Mid-Michigan region. The city lies about 66 miles northwest of Detroit and about 38 miles outside Saginaw.
