Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pair of pre-engineered metal self-storage buildings on behalf of a customer in Frederick, Colorado, in April of 2018.
Rugged, highly energy efficient and customized to meet the owner’s unique entrepreneurial needs, the (2) buildings together create a self-storage facility. Comprised of rugged, damage-resistant steel components, the first steel storage building stands 60’x80’x20’ in size, and it features the high clearance necessary for storing especially large or oversize items. The second and smaller of the facility buildings, meanwhile, stands 60’x40’x11’ upon erection, while both structures feature durable Galvalume roofs with 4:12 pitches overhead.
In total, the (2) buildings together have (8) framed openings, among them (4) 3070 openings enclosing (4) 3070 walk doors and (4) 14’x14’ openings, each enclosing one of (4) 14’x14’ overhead doors. Key facility features include a high-performance insulation package that helps regulate interior temperatures, with both structures boasting R-32 insulation in their roofs and R-20 insulation within their walls.
Other accommodations and customizations made in compliance with local building codes include a 20-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating. A fast-growing community in northern Colorado’s Weld County, the town of Frederick sits just south of Firestone and just north of Dacono.
