Regency Steel Buildings supplied this prefabricated steel mini storage complex for a customer in Harvey, North Dakota, in 2014.
The metal building boasts a finished size of 30’x140’x8.5’ with a 0.5:12 roof pitch, and is now used as a mini storage complex complete with (32) rentable units. These units include (5) 5’x10’ units with 4’x7’ framed openings filled with 4’x7’ Janus Model 650 mini storage doors, and (20) 10’x15’ units with 9’x7’ framed openings filled with 9’x7’ Janus Model 650 mini storage doors.
Additionally, the mini storage job included North Dakota engineer-stamped drawing, a wedge anchor and fasteners and 29-gauge partition panels with a Galvalume finish.
Harvey experiences substantial seasonal temperature differences, with warm, humid summers and sometimes bitterly cold winters. With this in mind, the mini storage complex was built with a wind speed of 90 mph, a ground snow load of 43 lbs. and a roof snow load of 30.1 lbs.
The City of Harvey is located within Wells County, in central North Dakota. It lies about 110 miles outside Bismarck and 73 miles from Minot.
