Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pre-engineered steel self-storage building in Keizer, Oregon, in July of 2019.

Rugged, built to last and insulated to maximize energy efficiency, the building, which currently serves as a mini storage complex, features an attractive Desert Sand-colored exterior and a fully erect size of 45’x180’x16’. It features high ceilings, making it suitable for storing large and oversize items, and a rugged, hardwearing roof comprised of Galvalume metal panels sits overhead, offering a 0.5:12 roof pitch.

Throughout the self-storage facility, which produces a steady stream of monthly revenue for its owner, are (16) framed openings varying in terms of size and purpose. Included are (1) 12’x12’ overhead opening enclosing (1) 12’xq12’ overhead door, (7) 12’x14’ openings enclosing (7) 12’x14’ overhead doors and (8) 3’x7’ openings, each harboring one of (8) 3’x7’ mini storage doors.

Installed in the roof of the self-storage center is a layer of R-10 fiberglass insulation, which enhances energy efficiency while regulating the facility’s interior temperatures. A 25-pound snow load and a 120-mph wind speed rating serve as additional accommodations made in compliance with local building codes and out of respect for the region’s typical climate patterns.
