Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pre-engineered steel mini storage building in Lake Clear, New York, in 2015.

The 20’x120’x9/8.67’ single-slope mini storage building has a 0.5:12 roof pitch and houses (21) rentable storage units of varying sizes. Included are (8) 5’x10’ units (4) on each end of the building), (7) 10’x20’ units on each sidewall with doors along the high side and (6) 5’x20’ units, also along the sidewall with doors along the high side. Distributed among the units are (8) 4’x7’ doors along the end wall and (6) 4’x8’ doors and (7) 9’x8’ doors along the side wall.

Roof insulation is included in the project, as are New York engineer-stamped drawings, 26-gauge colored walls, 29-gauge partition panels and a durable 26-gauge colored galvalume roof.

Given Lake Clear’s northern location near the Canadian border and the abundant seasonal snowfall typical of the region, the building is engineered with a wind speed of 90 mph and very high ground and roof snow loads, of 85 lbs. and 59.5 lbs., respectively.

A hamlet and lake in upstate New York’s Franklin County, Lake Clear sits about 26 miles outside Harrietstown and 7 miles from Paul Smiths.
