Metal Self-Storage Building Kit in Bethesda, Ohio

A client in Bethesda, Ohio, wanted to open a self-storage facility and asked Regency Steel Buildings to supply the building for it.

Regency delivered, manufacturing and sending the building kit to Ohio in March of 2023. The mini storage building welcomes renters who have traditional storage needs and has insulation in the roof and walls to help keep interior temperatures consistent. The 4” of roof and wall insulation also has a vapor barrier, which helps prevent water vapor from working its way through and threatening the building’s structural integrity and everything stored inside.

Separating the inside of the self-storage facility into separate units are heavy-duty 29-gauge steel dividers, and the building also features 26-gauge Polar White hallways. Other upgrades and customizations include gutters, downspouts and DripX condensation control on the roof panels, which together offer additional protection against moisture, mold and mildew.

A Closer Look

The metal self-storage building is 45’x100’x9.5’ with a gable roof with a 0.5:12 pitch. Inside, it contains:

• (10) 10’x20’ units
• (20) 10’x10’ units

Each storage unit has its own 9’x7’ mini storage door with a stainless-steel latch, and there are also (2) 4070 steel entry doors with panic hardware that provide general access inside the self-storage business. A 16.8-psf snow load and 115-mph wind rating are additional upgrades made to meet local building code requirements.

Located in east-central Ohio, Bethesda sits about 75 miles southeast of Strasburg and is part of Belmont County and the Wheeling metro area.
