Prefab Mini Storage Building Kit in Caruthersville, Missouri

Regency Steel Buildings supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Caruthersville, Missouri in 2014.

Standing 30’x160’x8.5’ with a 0.5:12 roof pitch, the steel building now serves as a mini storage facility with (36) rentable units. Of the (36), (6) are 5’x10’ and have 4’x7’ openings, and the remaining (30) are 10’x15’ with accompanying 9’x7’ framed openings. Each storage unit has one of (36) Model 650 mini storage doors, (6) of which are 4’x7’ and (30) of which are 9’x7’.

The customer opted to upgrade and weather-strip the doors with top head seal to keep rain, snow and wind from entering the units. Additional features of the metal mini storage building include gutters and downspouts, wedge anchors and fasteners, 29-gauge partition panels with a Galvalume finish and Missouri engineer-stamped drawings.

Caruthersville generally experiences hot, humid summers with considerable rainfall and occasional storm activity, and with maximum durability in mind, the mini storage complex was constructed with a wind speed of 90 mph, a ground snow load of 30 lbs. and a roof snow load of 21 lbs.
