Mini Storage Building Kits in Craig, Colorado

Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pair of prefabricated mini storage buildings in Craig, Colorado, in May of 2022.

Engineered by Regency Steel Buildings, Inc., the pair together undergo use as a self-storage facility. The first metal mini storage building, Building A, is 30’x50’x8.5’ and has a Galvalume gable roof with a 0.5:12 pitch. The second self-storage building, Building B, stands 20’x200’x7.67’/8.5’ and features a single-slope Galvalume steel roof with a 0.5:12 pitch.

Distributed between the (2) buildings are (50) storage units available for rent. Building A contains (29) 10’x15’ storage units with 9’x7’ framed door openings and (1) 10’x15’ storage unit with (1) 3’x7’ framed opening. Inside Building B are (20) 10’x20’ units, each with one of (20) 9’x7’ framed door openings, and there are also heavy-duty 29-gauge partitions separating each storage unit from the next.

Each storage unit also has its own door. In total, the self-storage complex contains (40) 9’x7’ Model 650 mini storage doors with stainless-steel latches and (1) 3070 steel entry door with a lever. Additional project upgrades and customizations include DripX condensation control applied to the buildings’ roofs and gutters and downspouts along the roofline of Building A.

A 40.6-PSF snow load and a 115-mph wind load are additional features added with respect to local building codes. Located in northwestern Colorado, Craig is part of Moffatt County. The community sits about 150 miles northeast of Grand Junction and about a 200-mile drive from Fort Collins.
