Pair of Metal Mini Storage Buildings Supplied in Flint, Michigan

Regency Steel Buildings delivered this pair of identical metal mini storage buildings to Flint, Michigan, in May 2022 so the owner could use them as a self-storage facility.

Together, the mini storage buildings bring another (120) storage units to the region, and the units come in various sizes so they can accommodate everything from small personal goods to large-scale furniture or business assets. Both buildings remain under 24/7 surveillance to protect consumer goods, and they both have attractive Tan exteriors and Light Stone mini storage doors that allow each renter private access into his or her rented unit.

Each structure is 40’x260’x9.5’ when raised, and each has a Galvalume gable roof with a slight 0.5:12 pitch offering protection overhead. Between them, the mini storage buildings have the following storage units available for rent.

All mini storage doors in the facility are Model 650 doors with stainless-steel latch hardware, and both self-storage buildings have gutters, downspouts and DripX condensation control pre-applied to their roof panels, helping control condensation. There are also 29-gauge dividers in both buildings that create separate storage areas inside.

The self-storage buildings also have 115-mph wind loads and 25.2-psf snow loads to meet local building code requirements. Situated within Genesee County and the “Mid-Michigan” region, the city of Flint sits about 66 miles northwest of Detroit.
