Pair of Metal Mini Storage Building Kits in Columbia, Missouri

A client in Columbia, Missouri, purchased this pair of metal mini storage buildings from Regency Steel Buildings in May of 2023, bringing much-needed storage space to central Missouri.

The buildings draw the eye from the road thanks to attractive exterior paint and (6) 2’x2’ cupolas with louvers along the roofs. They also comply with building codes in place in Columbia, which the buyer verified with the local building department ahead of time.

Between them, the (2) buildings feature (51) storage units in several sizes, and each has private access through a Model 650 painted mini storage door. There are heavy-duty 29-gauge dividers in each building that separate the interiors into individual storage units, and both structures feature base and eave steps and flat ridge caps that create air-tight seals against wind or rain.

Regency engineered the buildings to accommodate firewalls the owner planned to add later and included several customizations to help prevent condensation and potential leaks, including gutters, downspouts and DripX condensation control pre-applied to the mini storage buildings’ roof panels. Both buildings also feature 109-mph wind ratings and 16.8-psf snow loads. Here’s a closer look at each building.
