Regency Steel Buildings supplied this prefabricated mini storage building for a customer in Plains, Montana, in late March of 2019.
Durable, sustainable and designed to hold its own despite Montana’s sometimes-extreme temperatures and unpredictable climate patterns, the building features top-quality steel construction, resulting in unmatched structural integrity. Now in use as a mini storage facility, the building features a finished, fully erect size of 40’x170’x8.5’ while a rugged, hardwearing roof constructed using Galvalume metal panels sits overhead, offering a 0.5:12 roof pitch.
Throughout the metal self-storage facility are (38) framed openings, which include (4) 4’x7’ openings enclosing (4) 4’x7’ mini storage doors and (34) 8’x7’ framed openings, each enclosing one of (34) 8’x7’ mini storage doors. Additional features added out of respect for the typical climate characteristics of Plains as well as the building codes currently in place across the region include a 115-mph wind speed rating and a high, 55-pound snow load.
A lightly populated area set within northwestern Montana’s Sanders County, Plains straddles the state’s Clark Fork River. The community sits about 76 miles northwest of Missoula and about 33 miles outside Dixon, Montana.
