Regency Steel Buildings fabricated and delivered this pre-engineered self-storage building in Jefferson City, Missouri, in July 2022.

Climate-controlled and ultra-durable, the building now serves as a self-storage business, generating a regular stream of revenue for its owner. Comprised of rugged, high-quality steel parts, the mini storage building is 40’x150’x9.5’, and inside, it contains (34) separate storage units with heavy-duty 29-gauge partitions separating each one from the next.

Overhead, a reliable, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof with a 0.25:12 pitch provides protection from the elements, and gutters and downspouts along the roofline help divert rain and snow away from the building, making it more watertight. Inside, the metal self-storage building has (8) 10’x10’ storage units with 8’x7’ framed door openings, (8) 10’x20’ storage units with 9’x7’ framed openings and (18) 10’x20’ storage units with 9’x8’ framed door openings.

The self-storage building also has private doors offering entry into each storage unit. In total, the facility contains (8) 8’x7’, (8) 9’x7’ and (18) 9’x8’ doors, all of which are Model 650 varieties with stainless-steel latch hardware. Other notable customizations include Solar Guard insulation, which helps keep the inside of the storage building at consistent temperatures, and (1) 12” base step.

The steel mini storage building also has a 25.2-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind load in accordance with local building codes.

Located in Cole County in central Missouri, Jefferson City is the state capital. The city sits on the northern edge of the Ozark Plateau, about 132 miles from St. Louis and roughly 32 miles south of Columbia.
