Regency Steel Buildings supplied these (2) pre-engineered metal self-storage buildings for a customer in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Engineered by Regency Storage Systems, the buildings feature heavy-duty steel construction and, together, they now function as a self-storage facility, generating a regular stream of revenue for the business owner. Durable and engineered to last, the first building, Building A, stands 30’x108’x12.75’/14’ in size once erect, and overhead, it has a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume steel single-slope roof with a 0.5:12 pitch.
The second structure, Building B, stands 15/20/25’x195’x8.6’ upon erection, and overhead, it sports an asymmetrical gable roof that provides reliable protection for goods stored inside.
Key Self-Storage Facility Features
Between the (2) Regency Steel mini storage buildings are (28) rentable storage units, with 29-gauge partition walls separating each unit. Building A contains (9) 12’x30’ storage units, each of which features one of (9) 10’x12’ framed openings. Inside Building B are (6) 10’x15’ units with (6) 9’x7’ framed openings, (12) 10’x20’ units with (12) 9’x7’ framed openings, and (1) 15’x25’ storage unit featuring (1) 9’x7’ framed opening.
Offering access into each storage unit is one of (28) mini storage doors. In total, there are (19) 9’x7’ metal mini storge doors found throughout the facility and (9) 10’x12’ mini storage doors. Building A also has (1) 3070 walk door and (1) 18” step that provide general access inside the facility.
Additional Mini Storage Center Customizations
Regency Steel also engineered these steel mini storage buildings to comply with local building and engineering codes, with each building featuring a 90-mph wind speed rating and a 21-pound roof snow load. Each metal mini storage building also features gutters and downspouts, which help prevent moisture and water damage by diverting rain or snow off the buildings’ roofs and away from their foundations.
The most populated city in Utah, Salt Lake City is part of Salt Lake County and the larger Salt Lake City – Ogden – Provo statistical area. It sits just west of the Wasatch Mountain Range; roughly 30 miles south of Ogden and 45 miles from Provo.
