Regency Steel Buildings fabricated and supplied these (11) metal self-storage buildings in Billings, Montana, in September 2022.
Now part of a massive self-storage complex, the (11) insulated, climate-controlled self-storage buildings offer unmatched strength and durability, ensuring reliable protection for renter goods stored inside. The (11) buildings offer a combined (406) rentable storage units that can accommodate a wide range of consumer demands, including traditional, RV and boat storage needs.
The first (4) buildings in the complex are all equal in size, standing 40’x180’x8.5’. Overhead, they all sport heavy-duty Galvalume gable roofs with 0.5:12 pitches, and inside, each of the (4) buildings has:
• (8) 5’x10’ units with 4’x7’ framed door openings
• (4) 10’x10’ units with 9’x7’ framed door openings
• (32) 10’x20’ units with 9’x7’ framed door openings
The second set of (4) mini storage buildings in the complex are also the same size, with each standing 40’x200’x8.5’ and sporting a heavy-duty gable roof with a 0.5:12 pitch overhead. Inside, each of these (4) buildings contains:

Building 9 is an expansive 20’x440’x7.667’/8.5’ and has a single-slope roof with a 0.5:12 pitch overhead. Inside, it features:
• (44) 10’x20’ units with 9’x7’ framed door openings.
Building 10, when erect, is 34’x210’x14.58’/16’ and has large storage units and high ceilings that can accommodate RVs and other oversize goods. Its roof has a single-slope design and a 0.5:12 pitch, and inside are:
• (15) 14’x34’ units with 12’x14’ door openings
The final building in the metal self-storage facility, Building 11, is 34’x266’x14.58’/16’ when raised and has a single-slope Galvalume roof with a 0.5:12 pitch overhead.
Each storage unit needs its own door for private renter access. In total, this self-storage facility contains (32) 4’x7’ and (348) 9’x7’ Janus Model 650 mini storage doors. It also has (34) 12’x14’ painted Model 1000 mini storage doors with chain hoists.
Each mini storage building has heavy-duty 29-gauge partitions separating its interior into separate units, and each structure also has gutters and downspouts on its roof and a 2.5” layer of WMP-VRR-faced roof insulation with a vapor barrier.
All (11) metal mini storage buildings also meet or exceed all building codes in place at the erection site. Montana’s largest city, Billings is part of Yellowstone County. It lies roughly 143 miles east of Bozeman and about an 83-mile drive from Big Timber
