Regency Steel Buildings constructed and delivered this prefabricated steel mini storage building for a repeat customer in Tomkinsville, Kentucky, in March 2023.
The building is very similar to one the owner purchased from Regency for use in a different Kentucky community, with both standing 25’x100’x8.5’ and featuring Light Stone exteriors and (25) storage units apiece inside. Designed for traditional storage use, the building boasts rugged, 26-gauge PBR wall panels, a 24-gauge standing-seam roof, and a combination of Brown and Light Stone trim that enhances its exterior appeal.
Inside, the self-storage facility contains:
- (9) 5’x10’ storage units
- (7) 10’x10’ storage units
- (9) 10’x15’ storage units
There are rugged, 29-gauge dividers creating the separate storage units inside the building. Also included are (9) 4’x7’ and (16) 9’x7’ Royal Blue Model 650 mini storage doors that allow each renter private access to his or her storage unit.
The business owner ordered gutters and downspouts for the roof of the self-storage complex, and the roof panels also have DripX condensation control pre-applied to them, creating an additional line of defense against condensation. A 115-mph wind rating and a 21-psf snow load keep the mini storage building compliant with local building codes.
Part of Monroe County in south-central Kentucky, Tomkinsville sits 8 miles northeast of Gamaliel and about 21 miles south of Edmonton, Kentucky.
