Self Storage Building Kit in Mobile, Alabama

Regency Steel Buildings was the provider of this prefabricated steel self storage building in Mobile, Alabama, in December of 2021.

Rugged, secure, and climate-controlled thanks to an insulation package, the Regency Storage Systems mini storage building features top-quality steel construction and is 180’x200’x9.5’ when raised. Overhead, it sports a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof with a .75:12 pitch, and inside the self-storage facility are (240) storage units for rent in a variety of sizes.

Located throughout are (6) 5’x5’ units with 3’x7’ framed door openings, (6) 5’x10’ units with 3’x7’ door openings, (6) 5’x15’ units with 4’x7’ door openings, and (216) 10’x15’ units with 8’x7’ framed door openings. Each storage unit has its own door, and in total, the self-storage business contains (6) 4’x7’ walk doors with hardware, (18) 3’x7’ Model 650 mini storage doors with stainless-steel latches, and (216) 8’x7’ Model 650 mini storage doors, also featuring stainless-steel latch hardware. All mini storage doors have striking Apple Lime Cocktail-colored paint.

Other additions include 29-gauge partitions with Galvalume finishes, which divide the inside of the building and separate the storage units, and gutters and downspouts, which guard against condensation and water damage. The building also has a 4” layer of WMP-VRR-faced insulation in its roof and walls, enhancing energy efficiency while lowering the facility’s power bills.

A high, 155-mph wind load is another customization made with the building codes and climate characteristics of the Mobile area in mind. Located in Mobile County, in southwestern Alabama, the city of Mobile sits 168 miles outside Montgomery, Alabama, and about 19 miles northwest of Fairhope.
