Regency Steel Buildings supplied these (2) pre-engineered self storage buildings in Tazewell, Virginia, in October of 2021.

Fabricated by Regency Steel Buildings, Inc., the pair of buildings was ordered for a repeat customer, together the buildings create a self-storage facility and provide reliable protection for goods stored inside. The first metal mini storage building, Building A, is 25’x125’x8.5’ when raised, while the second stands 30’x200’x8.5’.

Overhead, both steel mini storage buildings sport hardwearing Galvalume gable roofs with modest 0.5:12 pitches, and between them, they contain (74) rentable storage units with heavy-duty, 29-gauge partitions functioning as dividers between them. Inside Building A are (2) 5’x12.5’ storage units with 4’x7’ framed door openings and (24) 10’x12.5’ storage units with 9’x7’ framed door openings. Inside Building B are (12) 5’x10’ storage units with 4’x7’ framed door openings and (36) 10’x15’ units with 9’x7’ framed openings.

Each storage unit has its own door, and in total, the self-storage facility features (14) 4’x7’ Janus Model 650 doors and (60) 9’x7’ Model 650 mini storage doors. All mini storage doors also feature stainless-steel latch hardware.

Other notable customizations include gutters, downspouts and a 2.5” WMP-VRR-faced vapor retarder in the roof, all of which help protect the building against condensation and water damage. The mini storage buildings also have 30.1-psf snow loads and 115-mph wind speed ratings in line with local building code requirements.

Part of the Bluefield, WV – VA micropolitan area, the town of Tazewell is part of Tazewell County. Located in northwestern Virginia, the community sits about 119 miles outside Roanoke and about 81 miles outside Blacksburg.
