Regency Steel Buildings sent this pre-engineered metal self-storage building in Huntingdon, Tennessee, in June 2022.
The newest in a series of metal self-storage buildings supplied for the same business owner for use in Tennessee, this new building is 85’x135’x10’ and has storage units in a variety of sizes to accommodate both traditional or oversize storage needs. Highly customized and heavily insulated, the mini storage building contains the following storage unit mix inside.
• (16) 5’x10’ storage units with 3’x7’ framed door openings
• (3) 5’x15’ units with 3’x7’ door openings
• (2) 10’x5’ units with 8’x7’ door openings
• (19) 10’x10’ units with 8’x7’ door openings
• (9) 10’x15’ units with 8’x7’ door openings
• (19) 10’x20’ units with 8’x7’ door openings
The building also has (4) 5’ hallways with painted panels that provide access to each renter’s storage unit and 29-gauge partition panels dividing the storage units inside. Each unit also has its own entry door, with the building containing a total of (19) 3’x7’ and (49) 8’x7’ painted Model 650 mini storage doors.
The self-storage facility also has (8) 4’x7’ entry doors that allow general access inside. The building’s roof has gutters, downspouts and a modest 0.5:12 pitch, and there are also 6” of insulation in the roof and 4” of insulation in the walls. The mini storage business also has 3’ of painted wainscoting along the outside walls, which boosts its curb appeal.
Engineered to adhere to local building codes, the steel self-storage building also has a 7-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind load. Carrol County’s county seat, the town of Huntingdon sits about a 116-mile drive from Nashville.
