Regency Steel Buildings supplied this pre-engineered metal self-storage building in Mitchell, Nebraska, in August 2022.

Supplied for a client who already owns and operates several Regency Storage Systems self-storage buildings, this new building is an expansive 30’x280’x8.5’ and has (58) storage units for rent inside. Durable and low maintenance, the metal self-storage building provides superior protection for stored assets, keeping them out of the rain, snow, wind, and other potential hazards.

A hardy, corrosion-resistant Galvalume steel gable roof with a 0.5:12 pitch sits overhead, and the roof has gutters and downspouts that help keep the building watertight. There is also a 2.5” WMP-VRR-faced vapor barrier in the roof, which serves as an additional line of defense against condensation.

Inside, the self-storage facility features (6) 10’x10’ and (52) 10’x20’ storage units, all of which have 8’x7’ framed door openings enclosing one of (58) 8’x8’ Bronze Model 650 mini storage doors. There are also rugged, 29-gauge partitions with Galvalume finishes separating the storage units inside the building.

A 25.2-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind rating are additional accommodations that meet or exceed the building codes in place in Mitchell.

Located in western Nebraska, Mitchell is part of Scotts Bluff County and the Scottsbluff micropolitan area. It sits just northwest of Scottsbluff and about 328 miles from Grand Island.
