Steel Mini Storage Building Kit in Mobile, Alabama

The owner of several existing self-storage centers in southern Alabama wanted to expand his self-storage empire and help fulfill an ongoing need for more storage space in the region and purchased this Regency Steel metal mini storage building in May of 2023.

The new steel building generates a steady revenue stream and brings another (531) storage units to the area. The storage units inside come in a wide variety of sizes, appealing to consumers with various storage needs. Climate-controlled to help prevent humidity and keep everything stored inside at safe temperatures, the building has a layer of R-30 fiberglass insulation in its roof and another 6” of fiberglass insulation in the walls.

Attractive and modern in appearance, the 315’x250’x9.5’ mini storage business has Gray exterior paint with a combination of Gray and Brilliant White trim. Inside, it features:

Connecting the units are (14) 5’ painted hallway systems, and each storage unit has one of either (52) 3’x7’ or (458) 8’x7’ painted Model 650 mini storage doors. The building also has rugged, 29-gauge partitions with Galvalume finishes separating the storage units inside.

Overhead, a corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 0.5:12 pitch and gutters and downspouts lining it offers reliable protection from the elements. The mini storage building also has an upgraded, 160-mph wind load as a result of the Mobile area’s strict building codes and active hurricane history.
