Regency Steel Buildings provided this prefabricated mini storage building for a customer located in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, in early May, 2016.
Boasting copper penny-colored paint and a complementing copper-colored roof with a 0.5:12 pitch, the building stands 30’x120’8.5’ once fully erect. Crafted from premium-grade steel materials, the building now operates as a mini storage complex. Inside it are (28) framed openings, among them (6) 4’x7’ openings holding (6) 4’x7’ Janus Model 650 non-wind-rated doors and (22) 9’x7’ openings holding (22) Janus Model 650 non-wind-rated doors.
Additional features include gutters and downspouts, which are used to divert water off the roof and away from the building’s foundation, and 3” of metal building insulation in the roof, which helps to maintain a dry environment. A wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 42 lbs. serve as additional features and were included in consideration of the typical climate seen throughout Thief River Falls and the surrounding region.
A part of northern Minnesota’s Pennington County, Thief River Falls lies about 231 miles outside St. Cloud and about 175 miles from Alexandria.
